MAGIX Photo Clinic is a free application for photo processing using layers.
The program applies many possible effects on the picture like painting layers, not affecting at all the previous photograph that remains as the background. Once user has finished all the retouching or variations, the layers are blended with the original picture. This way, user can change effects and parameters not affecting the original picture until the desired result is obtained.
User can also create independent image areas, known here as objects, and insert them on the 'background' main picture, including transparent mode that can be associated to the created objects, so they can easily be combined with the initial image. Created objects can also be scaled to match the desired size. Special effects can be applied to the objects as well as to the background picture, and also manually, using the brush.
The user interface is very simple and easy to use, without any previous skills on photo handling.
A very powerful zoom makes more comfortable the image editing.
Among the special effects that the application features, it has red eyes remove, sharpen the image, soft focus in many levels, brightness and contrast control (manual or automatic), gamma correction, RGB adjustment, auto color, and includes a very useful 'effect browser' with thumbnails showing each effect to help user to decide, as well as all the usual tools for manually painting on the picture. |
